Current Affairs:India will participate in French naval exercises in the Bay of Bengal this month. This is the first French naval exercise that the Indian Navy will participate in. The exercise is called La Perouse.
Highlights:
-Japan, Australia and the United States of America will participate in the exercise. According to the French Embassy, from March 30 to April 1, two French navy ships, Surcouf and Tonnerre, made a port call at Kochi. They will then sail to the Bay of Bengal to participate in the exercise. The French naval exercise La Perouse will be held from April 5th to 7th.
-France, India, the United States, Australia and Japan will participate in this exercise. The two French ships that further participated in the La Perouse competition at the Kochi port were The Surcouf and Tonnerre. The first La Perouse was held in 2019 with France, the United States, Australia and Japan. The name of the Indian and French naval exercises is-Varuna Naval Exercises. It was first carried out in 1983. Then came La Perouse, and then Varuna in the Arabian Sea.
Current Affairs:The Manipur state government has sought the help of the center to alleviate the forest fire at the top of Shirui Mountain in Ukhrul District, Manipur.
Shirui Kashong Peak:
-Shirui Kashong Peak is one of the tourist attractions in the Ukhrul area of Manipur. It is 2835m above sea level. This mountain has two main attractions: Barry Lily and the river that traverses Ukhrul. Shirui Kashong Peak is located in the Ukhrul district of Manipur.
-Rare Lilium mackliniae (Shirui lily) and the river in Ukhrul district are the main attractions of Shirui Kashong Peak. Shirui is divided into two villages-Shirui ato and Shirui aze. There are 100 households in Antu Bairui with a total of 472 people; Azebai Rui has 184 households with a total of 793 people.
-The local people of Shirui speak Shirui dialect belonging to the Tibetan-Burman language family. The week-long festival held in Shirui is Shirui Lily Festival. It was declared a national holiday in 2017.
Current Affairs:Cherry Blossom is the national flower of Japan. This is why it is also called Japanese Cherry and Sakura. It is the flower of many trees of the genus Prunus or Prunus Cerasus. They usually refer to ornamental cherry trees.
Highlights:
-Cherry blossoms have been found in Uttarakhand, Himalayas, Sikkim, Cha Jam and Kashmir regions of India, and Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling in the northern regions of West Bengal.
-The National Cherry Blossom Festival was celebrated in Washington, USA.
-The holiday is to commemorate March 27, 1912. On this day, Tokyo Mayor Yukio Ozaki presented a Japanese cherry tree to the Mayor of Washington, Japan.
-The first cherry blossom festival was held in the year 1934. However, the Cherry Blossom Festival officially became a national annual event in 1935.
-Somei Yoshino (Yoshino cherry) is the most popular cherry blossom variety in Japan.
Current Affairs:River Front Development Project – Rejuvenation Of Sabarmati
This is a project of environmental improvement, social progress and urban rejuvenation that will give Ahmedabad a new look. The project will reclaim about 200 hectares of land from the riverbed.
About the Sabarmati river:
-It is one of the rivers that flows westward together with the Narmada River and the Tapti River.
-It originated in Aravalli Hill near Tepur Village in Udaipur District, Rajasthan.
-Mouth of the river: Gulf of Cambey ( Khambhat).
-Ahmedabad city is located on both banks of this river.
Current Affairs:The government of Jharkhand announced that it will retain 75% of private sector positions and provide locals with salaries of up to 30,000 rupees
Highlights:
-The bill will deal with shops, institutions, mines, businesses, industries, companies, associations, trusts, Limited Liability Partnership firms, and anyone who employs ten or more people as private sectors and entities.
-Every employer is required to register employees on the designated portal. The monthly salary or total wages of these employees do not exceed 30,000 rupees (or notified by the government from time to time), within three months after the bill takes effect.
-If not registered on the designated portal, any local candidate is not eligible for 75% of the rights.
-The bill defines local candidates as persons who belong to Jharkhand and are registered on the designated portal.
-If there are not enough local candidates with the required skill qualifications or proficiency, the employer can request an exemption.
Current Affairs:The central government plans to issue a 14-digit identification number for each piece of land in India within one year.
Highlights:
-Subsequently, it will integrate its land records database with income court records and bank records and Aadhaar numbers on a voluntary basis.
-In 2021, Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) scheme was launched in 10 states
-It will be promoted across India in March 2022
-It is described as a " the Aadhaar for land "-this number will uniquely identify each land under investigation and prevent land fraud, especially in rural India
-The identification will be based on the longitude and latitude of the plot and will depend on detailed surveys and geo-referenced cadastral maps.

Current Affairs:A financing agreement was signed for the development of STP and sewage treatment networks for the Digha and Kankarbagh areas of Patna.
Highlights:
-The scope of the project includes the development of a Sewage Treatment Plants with a capacity of 150 MLD and a sewage treatment network of more than 453 kilometers in the Digha and Kankarbagh areas of Patna State, which is one of the most populous cities on both sides of the Ganges.
-This is the first of its kind and consists of the Design, Build, Operate and Transfer ('DBOT') scope and the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) scope.
-After implementation, all sewage areas in Patna City will be covered by the sewage pipe network and sewage treatment capacity.

Highlights:
-The species is named Nacaduba sinhala ramaswamii Sadasivan
-It was found in Agasthyamalais in the Western Ghats.
-The new taxa of Lycaenid butterflies belong to the genus Nacaduba.
-The blue line is a small butterfly belonging to the Lycaenidae subfamily.
-Their distribution ranges from India and Sri Lanka to the entire Southeast Asia, Australia and Samoa.
-This is the first time that an all-India research team has discovered a butterfly species from the Western Ghats.
